Prayer Intention

A dear friend of our family’s was visiting her aunt in Mexico. This past Friday, the First Friday of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, both of them were killed in a car accident. Our friend’s name was Virginia and her aunt’s name was Rosa. Both names can be seen as connected with the Blessed Mother. “Virginia,” invoking her perpetual virginity and “Rosa,” may refer to Our Lady’s association with roses, or her title “Rosa Mystica.” This title was given by a 20th century Italian visionary, Pierina Gilli. These apparitions are still under investigation.

Virginia and Rosa had a bond of love in life and a bond in death. Please pray for their dear souls and their loved ones. If you have any of your own intentions, you may email us and we will post them.

Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon them!

may they rest in peace.

Amen.

Please drive safely! Sacred Heart Auto League

Empty Nester Conversation #....I forget

Me: What time are the shed people coming tomorrow?

Hubby: 8 to 10.

Me: AM?

Hubby: Yes, AM.

Me: Wasn’t The Shed People a horror movie in the 80’s?

Hubby: No, it was my band. Don’t you remember? You came to our show at Paramus Middle School’s science fair.

Me: Gee, don’t know how I got that wrong.

(This actually went through several drafts which were even less funny.)

Our brand new shed installed today!

This will help on so many levels. We can now clear a lot of things out of our basement and garage, and organize them better. Mainly this will be yardwork and gardening paraphernalia. Sheds are great to have and great for resale value of a house. This one has a waterproof floor and a heavy-duty ramp. The window and skylight are important for letting light in-it can be rather dark in a shed otherwise. Of course, you can leave the door open for more light. We now have to bring shelving in and we are all set! My life just got better:)

Thought for the Day

“Never play poker with someone who’s first name is a state.”

Someone said that. I don’t remember who. Let’s test it out…

Montana Jones

Tennessee Jones

Kentucky Jones

Texas Jones

Nah…I wouldn’t play poker with those guys.

Indiana Jones

No. But I might play poker with…

New Jersey Jones

or

Rhode Island Jones

You can do it with countries too…

Mexico Jones

No.

Finland Jones

Okay.

Another Empty-Nester Conversation

Me: I think I’m starting to look old.

My husband: I don’t think so.

Me: That’s because you’re blinded by love.

My husband: I do need new glasses.

Me: I go get a foot massage and a latte.

Yes, these are actual conversations, tweaked only slightly for literary purposes.

Prayer Intention

This is my own prayer intention. My sister, who has cancer, recently was hospitalized with a blood clot and several weeks later, had a heart attack. She had a terrible experience in the hospital with a lot of problems. She is recently home and resting. Please pray for her and our family, particularly my elderly mother, who lost my oldest brother to cancer in March. This is a very trying time for my family. I deeply appreciate anything you can do in this month of the Holy Rosary. Thank you-CF

PS Feel free to contact us with your own intentions as well.

Feast of the Annunciation, Prayer Intentions

For my 2 siblings who have stage 4 cancer and my elderly mother.

For the Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Our Lady, taking place today, that it may be effectual unto life everlasting for many.

For the intentions of all our readers.
