Holy Scripture

22 Years: 9/11 Prayer, Song, Scripture, & Meditation

Light a candle and pray with your family, sometime this week…

O Most Holy Trinity, we light this candle for all the victims of that terrible day, 22 years ago.  We pray for those at the World Trade Center, including the 2 planes, those at the Pentagon, including the plane, and those on the plane in Pennsylvania.  We pray for the first responders who gave their lives.  We give to Thee all those who died or suffered in any way, along with their loved ones.  We remember also, those who continue to live with physical and mental disability.  May they all be healed and brought close to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.  May we never forget them.  We also lift up to Thee, those responsible for  these horrific crimes against God and humanity.  May they be brought to repentance and mercy.

God bless the United States of America, and may we become once again, a nation respecting the laws of God, the sanctity of life and all human rights.  Lord have mercy upon us.

Amen.

Song:  Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence

Let all mortal flesh keep silence,

and with fear and trembling stand;

ponder nothing earthly minded,

for, with blessing in His hand,

Christ our God to earth descendeth,

our full homage to demand.

King of Kings, yet born of Mary,

as of old on earth He stood,

Lord of Lords, in human vesture,

in the Body and the Blood.

He will give to all the faithful

His own Self for heav'nly food.

Rank on rank the host of Heaven

spreads its vanguard on the way,

as the Light of Light descendeth

from the realms of endless day,

that the pow'rs of Hell may vanish

as the darkness clears away.

At His feet the six-winged seraph,

cherubim with sleepless eye,

veil their faces to the Presence,

as with ceaseless voice they cry,

“Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, Lord Most High!”

(Picardy/Moultrie)

And Jesus being come out of the temple, went away. And his disciples came to shew him the buildings of the temple.  And he answering, said to them: Do you see all these things? Amen I say to you there shall not be left here a stone upon a stone that shall not be destroyed…Now all these are the beginnings of sorrows…And this gospel of the kingdom, shall be preached in the whole world, for a testimony to all nations, and then shall the consummation come…For there shall be then great tribulation, such as hath not been from the beginning of the world until now, neither shall be…And from the fig tree learn a parable: When the branch thereof is now tender, and the leaves come forth, you know that summer is nigh.  So you also, when you shall see all these things, know ye that it is nigh, even at the doors…Watch ye therefore, because ye know not what hour your Lord will come…Who, thinkest thou, is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath appointed over his family, to give them meat in season…Blessed is that servant, whom when his lord shall come he shall find so doing.

Matthew 24

On that day 22 years ago, 2,996 people died and many more suffered, as Our Lady of Sorrows looked on from Heaven.  She continues to watch over her children with the love and compassion of her Immaculate Heart.  She understands the Foot of the Cross.  And she leads us to the joy of the Resurrection.  Death is never the end of the story.

The “candle” Saint Francis refers to is the soul illumined by the Light of Christ.  As the hymn states:  “…the Light of Light descendeth from the realms of endless day, that the pow'rs of Hell may vanish as the darkness clears away.”

Our Lord’s prophecy in this Gospel chapter refers to the End of Time.  We do not know where we are in that timeline, but it is clear that the world is changing.  Even if we are not at “The End,” the words above are still relevant to our times.  We are seeing unprecedented sorrows, the global reach of the Gospel and unnatural endeavors which have never been attempted before.  We are told to be watchful.  We are told to prepare and provide for those in our care.  If we heed these commands, we will be deemed “blessed” and win our heavenly reward!

Luke 7:11 and Our Lady of Sorrows

“And it came to pass afterwards, that he went into a city that is called Naim; and there went with him his disciples, and a great multitude.  And when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold a dead man was carried out, the only son of his mother; and she was a widow: and a great multitude of the city was with her.  Whom when the Lord had seen, being moved with mercy towards her, he said to her: Weep not.  And he came near and touched the bier. And they that carried it, stood still. And he said: Young man, I say to thee, arise.  And he that was dead, sat up, and began to speak. And he gave him to his mother. And there came a fear on them all: and they glorified God, saying: A great prophet is risen up among us: and, God hath visited his people.  And this rumour of him went forth throughout all Judea, and throughout all the country round about.”

Luke 7:11

Above is the Gospel passage for today, the 2nd Sunday in this month of Our Lady of Sorrows.  Do you notice anything?  This account of one of Our Lord’s miracles of raising the dead, foreshadows the Passion and the Resurrection.  Mary was a widow at the foot of the Cross, which is why Jesus gave her to Saint John, to be cared for by him.  Her Son was crucified, but raised after 3 days!  She never lost hope, trusting that this was part of God’s great plan for the redemption of the human race.

Our celebrant at the Tridentine Mass in Glen Cove, New York, brought light to this scripture.  He mentioned that the crowd would have been astonished by Our Lord touching a dead body, as this was considered unclean.  He drew the parallel to us when we are in a state of sin.  Christ reaches out to us in our misery, to lead us to the sacrament of Penance and the great peace that follows.  It is a bathing of the soul.  We are all that young man, given back to our Holy Mother Church, the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth.

Another point Fr. Daniel made, was that once you are forgiven, it is time to become a witness.  As soon as the boy was raised, he spoke.   How important this is in our own time, as the world has forgotten all that is good and Godly.  Let us courageously speak of the love and mercy of the Most Holy Trinity to all the world and transform the face of the earth!

RFK Jr. & Abortion

RFK Jr., the son of Bobby Kennedy, who was killed in Los Angeles, 1968, is campaigning for President of the United States on the Democratic ticket. The Washington Post claims he already enjoys 20% of this party’s support. He is also attracting many on the “right,” due to his centrist leanings and promise to secure our freedoms, in post-Covid America. He has straddled the fence on abortion in the past, but has now fallen decidedly against the unborn. Have a look at these 2 articles…

Robert F Kennedy Jr. Supports Abortion

The Hole in the Heart of RFK Jr.’s Extraordinary Book

Sadly, RFK Jr. is a Catholic who purportedly attends Mass daily and even wrote a children’s book on his patron saint, Francis of Assisi, in 2005. Robert Francis Kennedy Jr. would do well to contemplate the words of Holy Scripture, perhaps speaking of these very times…

“I know thy works, that thou art neither cold, nor hot. I would thou wert cold, or hot. But because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold, nor hot, I will begin to vomit thee out of my mouth.”

Taylor Marshall on Our Friend's Show...Monday Night!

A Deep Dive into Biblical Typology with Dr. Taylor Marshall

Dr. Taylor Marshall joins Anthony and Rob to do a deep dive into how the Old Testament is revealed in the New Testament through biblical typology.

March 27th, 8:00 PM LIVE! US ET

Avoiding Babylon [YouTube] was started during the height of the COVID 19 pandemic. During these difficult and dark days, when most of us were isolated from family, friends, our parishes, and even the Sacraments themselves, this channel was started as a statement of standing against the tyrannical mandates that many of us were living under. Since those early days, this channel has morphed into an amazing community of friends…no…more than friends…Christian brothers and sisters…who have grown in joy and charity.”

My husband and I know Anthony Abbate from our local Tridentine Masses that we attend on Long Island. He’s a great guy and has a beautiful family. We are really excited about Dr. Marshall on the upcoming show. My husband is also a regular in the chat…please give his channel your support and tune in!

WEF 2023 Part 2

[Edited since posting.]

We might ask ourselves: “Should we be looking at the World Economic Forum at all?” We must maintain the perspective that this is only one manifestation of the spiritual warfare now upon the world. God has one unified Church. Satan has many factions all over the world, which he even pits against each other for his own ends…

“Every kingdom divided against itself, shall be brought to desolation, and house upon house shall fall. And if Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand?”

Luke 11:17

The WEF is simply one part of this System to destroy Christendom and usher in…something else. These minions have operated in the shadows for centuries. But as Satan’s power rises due to rampant sin, a time must occur when the authoritarian structure becomes obvious. This is now beginning and the WEF is part of it.

Being that we are dealing with an evil genius of an angelic nature, we must always ask ourselves, “Am I falling right into a trap? Am I doing exactly what it wants? Who benefits?” What might be the negative results of looking at the WEF? There is often the element of distraction. “Look over here,” while something is going on elsewhere…the classic magic trick. Turning our attention to certain presentations can also distract from the positive things we should be doing, by taking up too much of our time. There can also be a provocation to push-back, or even violence, which gives them the excuse to crack down harder and say, “Look at these right wing white supremacist conspiracy theory terrorists!” Of course push-back is important, but understand it may not go well for you (look at the truckers in Canada). And there is the potential for despair…becoming traumatized, demoralized and paralyzed. Oh, and let’s not forget deception…is what’s being presented even true?

On the other hand, ignorance isn’t always bliss. One could say, “This is just a bunch of sci-fi freaks having fun in Davos with their chocolate-covered strawberries and Rothchild wine.” This might be fine it they weren’t actually beginning to implement these insane agendas. We can’t hide our heads in the sand. This is happening. If we don’t care about ourselves, we at least have a duty to our children, to the future. It must be exposed. Once we know what is happening, we can develop a counter-system to respond effectively. This can only be fight or flight. We must all ascertain at this time which option God is asking of us.

“You have to understand there are people using 5th generation warfare [military-grade psychological/information operations]…they have this crazy view that you have to first destroy the old before you can bring in the new…their model is “Let’s wreck all this [then] we build back better,” but they don’t know what they’re messing with…if you break it, you can’t do any building back…the chance of them not breaking this is closing in on zero…which means you need to know who’s your tribe, who can you trust, where’s your food coming from, how are you gonna heat your home, who do you want to be…

understand the game, extract yourself from the game and become a participant in the new game.”

When they take Our Blessed Lord's Name in vain....

ya didn’t get the memo?

well, let me get you up to speed really fast….

1) Have you heard of the 10 Commandments? Yes, oh great! The second one says “Do not take the Name of the Lord in vain.”

2) Some people are Christian. We believe Jesus is God. We are offended when people use His Name disrespectfully.

3) Got it??? Good.

It’s the month of the Holy Name of Jesus and I’m on the warpath!

I might suggest doing some role-playing with your friends or family to develop ways of dealing with genuinely difficult social situations such as this. It is simply a skill that needs to be learned.

“Every one therefore that shall confess me before men, I will also confess him before my Father who is in heaven. But he that shall deny me before men, I will also deny him before my Father who is in heaven. Do not think that I came to send peace upon earth: I came not to send peace, but the sword.”

Matthew 10:32

Feast of Saint Faustina, Seer of the Divine Mercy

For the sake of His sorrowful passion

Have mercy on us and on the whole world!

Saint Faustina, Pray for Us!

Never has the world needed mercy more than today. But how are we to obtain mercy? Our Lord gives us a clue:

“No man putting his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God. “

Luke 9:62

Did you know that some snakes can transmit toxins by merely touching them or inhaling near them? We often find spiritual messages in nature, if we take the time to reflect. These poisonous snakes tell us that we must not even get near evil, lest we be taken down with it. It is time to separate ourselves from this worldly, sinful culture which lies on the precipice of destruction. Set your hand to the plow and emulate Lot, not Lot’s wife! Many contend it is time to disengage physically, not just spiritually. Leave this world and do not look back!

+++ Memorial Day USA +++

It is a dying culture which cannot mourn.

True, some do honor the dead in America on this day…the dead who supposedly died for us, for our “freedom.”  Generally it is those who have lost a loved one in the military, veterans or those few strange people who actually care simply because they are American.  The vast majority engage in parties and shopping, without stopping for a moment to contemplate the actual purpose of Memorial Day.  What does this say about our culture…and where it’s going?

There is a concerning new trend, the “Celebration of Life” alternative to the funeral.  People feel, instead of “being sad,” we should simply “celebrate the person’s life” and essentially have a party, instead of any shared mourning ritual at the time of death.  This is the time when people need to grieve together and work through it to some measure of closure.  The universal Requiem is an ancient process that modern man is doing away with, because he is so clever and evolved.  He thinks he knows human nature better than our ancestors.  As he drifts further from God and nature, he forgets even the distinction between life and death.  This is well illustrated with In Vitro Fertilization, a horrific melding of the creation of life and the wanton disposal of it.  Ritual implies there is a human heart and someone worth grieving for.  Of course, it is most often performed in a religious setting, but the New World Order man has no God but Caesar.

Ironically, this has become the age of the half-mast flag.  Where there is mourning everywhere, there is mourning nowhere.  Caesar tells us who we should perennially be mourning for.  As death encompasses us, desensitization is what follows.  Such a society is prepared for crimes against humanity…to accept them, to commit them.

My husband’s uncle was shot to death at Germany’s famous WWII Battle of the Bulge.  He was 26 years old.  His body was never returned home (there is a dignified stone for him in the family cemetery).  This is what the enemy does in these never-ending corrupt wars.  What did Uncle Harry die for?  In the past 2 years, we have set the precedent for restricted travel, cessation of public religious practice, limited medical treatment and lack of autonomy over our own bodies.  And we’re still singing “The Star Spangled Banner.”

What does one do within a dying culture?  This is the question we all must answer at this very hour.  There is probably not much more time to take action.  We will not all come up with the same answer…

"Take ye heed, watch and pray.”

Mark 13:33

Let us pray for our dear fallen soldiers, beautiful young men with so much promise…

Eternal rest give unto them, O Lord.

And let perpetual light shine upon them.

May they rest in peace.

Amen.

March is the Month of Saint Joseph

The icon above is so sweet, how it portrays the Child Jesus’ love and affection for His Foster-Father, whose feast we celebrate this month on the 19th. May we further our own love for Saint Joseph during his month of March, as we also embark on the Season of Lent.

Ash Wednesday is the 2nd of the month-we begin Lent by contemplating our mortality and performing penance. There has never been a time in our lives when the world has needed more prayer and penance, so let us observe this Lent as well as we can, without stressing ourselves too much. When we stress ourselves, it has an immediate affect on those around us. As Saint Paul reminded us in the Quinquagesima Epistle:

“If I speak with the tongues of men, and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And if I should have prophecy and should know all mysteries, and all knowledge, and if I should have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And if I should distribute all my goods to feed the poor, and if I should deliver my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing…And now there remain faith, hope, and charity, these three: but the greatest of these is charity.”

1 Corinthians 13:1

Adding to the penitential spirit of Lent, we have the Ember Days on the 9th, 11th and 12th. This is a time to pray and offer for blessings and mercy upon the coming season of Spring.

We remember the great event of The Annunciation of the Lord on the 25th. Some other notable saints which March celebrates are: 20th-century Saint, Katherine Drexel…martyrs invoked in the Canon, Felicity & Perpetua…Doctors of the Church Saint Thomas Aquinas, Pope Saint Gregory the Great, Saint Cyril of Jerusalem and Saint John Damascene…our beloved Saint Patrick and Saint Gabriel the Archangel, just prior to The Annunciation. Let us give special mention to Saint Isidore the Farmer, who we particularly like here at Nomen Christi Apostolate!

What may we do this month to honor our dear Saint Joseph? Of course, last year was the Year of Saint Joseph. Maybe we could gain some inspiration from those former indulgences.

Finally, let us pray for peace, especially in the Ukraine. But remember, we live in an illusory world, where nothing is what it seems and the truth is often not what we are told. There is always more to the story. There is always information we are not privy to. But let us not forget the World Wars already waging…the war upon the unborn and the vulnerable…and the war upon freedom combined with the Covid bioweapon and the “Mystery Injection” being touted as a vaccine. Of course we never despair-we trust in the Most Holy Trinity, because we are God’s children and we know He loves us!

Here is your traditional Month of March calendar. Lenten blessings to all…

Employment Trouble Too?

I mentioned in a recent post that the Covid “vaccination” requirements sweeping across the US were beginning to get personal. My husband is struggling with this right now. We were discussing it last night and the thought that entered my mind was, “We have to pray to Saint Joseph!” I remembered seeing prayer cards in church of the “Thirty Days Prayer to Saint Joseph” many times, but I never actually performed it. I looked it up online and realized I would need to print it out. I could not find a good PDF, so I made one! We started the devotion last night and my husband is suddenly feeling much less stressed and so am I. We have peace that we have rested this in Saint Joseph’s most capable hands and whatever happens, it will be God’s will and He will get us through it. When I went into the hospital to have our child twenty-something years ago, my husband had no job. When he arrived home after the baby was born, a message was on the answering machine that he had been hired! Since God has provided for us always, why should the future be any different?

I thought as long as I went through the trouble to make this PDF and I’m sure we are not the only people dealing with this horror…HERE IT IS! I’m not sure of the origin of this prayer, but I think it may have come from the Josephites. There is another more lengthy 30-day devotion called “The Holy Cloak of Saint Joseph.” Let us pray for all who are suffering with unjust mandates and discrimination, due to various Covid measures….all under the guise of “health & safety.” This is classic Orwellian doublespeak. The stress and chaos all of this is causing is anything but healthy.

“By their fruits you shall know them. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit, and the evil tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can an evil tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit, shall be cut down, and shall be cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits you shall know them.”

THIRTY DAYS PRAYER TO SAINT JOSEPH
IN HONOR OF THE 30 YEARS SPENT WITH JESUS AND MARY

Ever blessed and glorious Joseph, kind and loving father, and helpful friend of all in sorrow! You are the good father and protector of orphans, the defender of the defenseless, the patron of those in need and sorrow. Look kindly on my request. My sins have drawn down on me the just displeasure of my God, and so I am surrounded with unhappiness. To you, loving guardian of the Family of Nazareth, do I go for help and protection. Listen, then, I beg you, with fatherly concern, to my earnest prayers, and obtain for me the favors I ask.

I ask it by the infinite mercy of the eternal Son of God, which moved Him to take our nature and to be born into this world of sorrow. I ask it by the weariness and suffering you endured when you found no shelter at the inn of Bethlehem for the Holy Virgin, nor a house where the Son of God could be born. Then, being everywhere refused, you were forced to allow the Queen of Heaven to give birth to the world’s Redeemer in a cave.

I ask it by the loveliness and power of that sacred Name, Jesus, which you conferred on the adorable Infant. I ask it by the painful torture you felt at the prophecy of holy Simeon, which declared the Child Jesus and His holy Mother future victims of our sins and of their great love for us.

I ask it through your sorrow and pain of soul when the angel declared to you that the life of the Child Jesus was sought by His enemies. From their evil plan, you had to flee with Him and His Blessed Mother to Egypt. I ask it by all the suffering, weariness, and labors of that long and dangerous journey.

I ask it by all your care to protect the Sacred Child and His Immaculate Mother during your second journey, when you were ordered to return to your own country. I ask it by your peaceful life in Nazareth where you met with so many joys and sorrows. I ask it by your great distress when the adorable Child was lost to you and His mother for three days.

I ask it by your joy at finding Him in the temple, and by the comfort you found at Nazareth, while living in the company of the Child Jesus. I ask it by the wonderful submission He showed in His obedience to you.

I ask it by the perfect love and conformity you showed in accepting the Divine order to depart from this life, and from the company of Jesus and Mary. I ask it by the joy which filled your soul, when the Redeemer of the world, triumphant over death and Hell, entered into the possession of His kingdom and led you into it with special honors.

I ask it through Mary’s glorious Assumption, and through that endless happiness you have with her in the presence of God. O good father! I beg you, by all your sufferings, sorrows, and joys, to hear me and obtain for me what I ask. (Here name your petitions.) Obtain for all those who have asked my prayers everything that is useful to them in the plan of God. Finally, my dear patron and father, be with me and all who are dear to me in our last moments, that we may eternally sing the praises of: JESUS, MARY AND JOSEPH.

“A blameless life, St. Joseph, may we lead, by your kind patronage from danger freed.”
